  1. Hello, thank you for all the wonderful information, it got me to break down specific parts of my dream. My dream is somewhat difficult to grasp. My father and I (we don’t have the best relationship) were talking and he was showering me with gifts which was very unusual. As we were talking I looked around and it seemed to be a family reunion, my stepmom, cousins and aunt were there doing their own thing. My boyfriend approached me when I was talking to my father and I introduced them. My boyfriend became flush and could not make eye contact. He slowly turned round and started hiding behind the wall, then eventually sat down on the couch behind me. I immediately told my father he is a little autistic and my dad understood at that point. I turned around and noticed my cousin looking and my boyfriend and stated he was crying. I immediately grab him and head outside to talk. My boyfriend was balling and stating that this is his third self and I will not approve of this. He needed his inhaler and he also had a cigarette in his hand. I fell into some deep heavy grass and he helped me up but my aunt ended up walking over like she was protecting me from him. The dream ended.

I do really love this man and I also have social anxiety so this could be all me. I want everyone to like him as much as I do but not everyone is as understanding and patient.

    • Dreams can be complex and are often influenced by various aspects of your life, experiences, and emotions. It’s important to remember that dream interpretations are subjective and can vary from person to person. That being said, I can offer you some possible interpretations of the elements in your dream:

Father Showering with Gifts: Your father showering you with gifts in the dream might represent a desire for validation, acceptance, or a positive connection with him. It could also symbolize a longing for a better relationship with your father, even if it’s not the reality.

Family Reunion: The family reunion setting could reflect your feelings about family dynamics and your desire for harmonious relationships within your family. It might also indicate a need for emotional support and understanding.

Boyfriend’s Behavior: Your boyfriend’s behavior in the dream might be an expression of your concerns about how he is perceived by your family, especially given your social anxiety. The fact that he becomes flustered and hides might represent his insecurities or fears of not being accepted by others, including your family.

Autism Disclosure: Telling your father that your boyfriend is “a little autistic” could symbolize your desire to explain and justify your boyfriend’s behavior to those around you. It could reflect your concern about how others perceive him and your relationship.

Crying Boyfriend: Your boyfriend crying in the dream might indicate his vulnerability and his fear of not being able to meet your expectations or gain your approval. It could also symbolize his worries about being misunderstood.

Inhaler and Cigarette: The inhaler and cigarette could represent contrasting aspects of your boyfriend’s personality or struggles. The inhaler might symbolize his vulnerabilities and the need for support, while the cigarette could represent a coping mechanism or his personal challenges.

Deep Grass and Aunt’s Protection: Falling into deep grass and your aunt protecting you could suggest your need for a safe space and protection from external pressures or judgments. This might also reflect your desire to shield your relationship from negativity or criticism.

Your Social Anxiety: Your social anxiety is clearly influencing the dream. Your concerns about how others perceive your boyfriend and your relationship are coming through in the dream narrative.

Overall, it seems like your dream could be a reflection of your desire for acceptance, understanding, and harmony within your relationships, both with your family and your boyfriend. It’s possible that your dream is processing your emotions about these dynamics and your fears of not being able to bridge the gaps between different aspects of your life.

Remember that dreams are personal, and these interpretations are just one way to approach understanding them. If you find it helpful, you might want to explore these themes further in your waking life through journaling, self-reflection, or conversations with trusted friends or a therapist.
